Day 1: Workshops Overview and Intro to Recording

Session 1: Introduction to Songwriting and Self-Expression (1 hour)

• Overview of the workshop objectives and schedule.
• Introduction to the art of songwriting and its power as a form of self-expression and storytelling.
• Exploration of different songwriting techniques, such as melody, lyrics, and structure.
• Group discussion on the importance of personal experiences and emotions in songwriting.Session 2: Introduction to Recording and Performance Techniques (1 hour)

• Introduction to the technical aspects of recording and performance.
• Overview of recording equipment and software commonly used in professional studios.
• Demonstration of microphone techniques, audio editing, and mixing.
• Introduction to performance techniques, stage presence, and effective communication with theaudience.

  Day 2: Recording and Performance Workshop

  Workshop Duration: 2 hours

  Session 3: Crafting Your Story through Song (1 hour)

• Understanding the elements of storytelling and its relevance to songwriting.
• Guided exercises to help participants identify personal themes, experiences, and emotions fortheir songs.
• Individual and group brainstorming sessions to generate song ideas and concepts.
• Participants will begin crafting their songs, with assistance and feedback from the facilitators.Session 4: Recording and Performance Practice (1 hour)

• Participants will have the opportunity to record their songs individually or in small groups, underthe guidance of facilitators.
• Focus on capturing expressive performances and providing technical support during therecording process.
• Participants will receive constructive feedback on their performances and suggestions forimprovement.
• A brief discussion on the importance of rehearsal and practice for polished performances.Note: The workshop can be repeated over subsequent weeks to allow participants to further refine their songs, recording skills, and performance abilities. Additionally, guest speakers or professionals from the music industry can be invited to share their experiences and insights during the workshop to provide additional inspiration and guidance.
