The Bronze Kingdom Obas’ Return: Africa in the Here and Now is a curated tour of the Bronze Kingdom Museum with a contextualizing African Folklore performance during which students are empowered to critically exam the history of African Americans, including the period before the political conflicts that led to the development of slavery; the passage to America; the enslavement experience; abolition; and the contributions of African Americans to society. This awe inspiring visit to one of the most consequential collections of African Art in the world also helps students develop keen insight into the history and world view of the people of Africa and their presence in North, South, Central America and the Carribean as well.
