In-School Program: Fish, Play, and Camp at the Bass Capital - Persuasive Writing Skills

Program Description
Using photographs and an authentic 1930s travel brochure, students discover what the area was like and why people vacationed in Florida before theme parks. Referring to the brochure, the speaker presents a short history of the 1920s economic boom and technological inventions that made it possible for middle-class Americans to purchase automobiles and take vacations.
