Virtual Color Dance with Voci Dance!

Program description

Looking for a fun distance learning lesson that inspires movement and critical thinking?

“What happens when you mix red and yellow? How about yellow and yellow? Blue and red? What about blue and blue? Come to the color dance and watch the dancers. They will have the answers- and so will you!

Voci Dance brings the story Color Dance by Ann Jonas to you at home. Dance along with the dancers in the story and learn about color mixing through creative movement and dance. Class will begin with reading the story and warm-up exercises and will follow with creative movement exercises. No previous dance experience necessary, just a willingness to have fun!

This class includes a fun post lesson that you can do with your parents!

This class is pre-recorded (vimeo), so that you may watch it any time and as many times as you like!

This lesson is great for:

  • Grades K, 1, & 2
  • Classroom teachers, visual art teachers, music teachers, & movement teachers

This class is taught by Genevieve Bernard, the Artistic Director of Voci Dance. Genevieve has a M.Ed in Dance Education from Temple University and is the Education Coordinator for the Orlando Fringe festival.
