  • In-school Flamenco Dance Residency
    In-School Workshops & Classes;  Online & Streaming
Immerse your students in a full week of authentic flamenco instruction where your students will experience all the history (5 continents worth), color and intricacies of flamenco dance in a fun, bi-lingual, interactive environment.  They will start with the heartbeat of flamenco--the 'compas'--the beat that breathes life into the dance and build that dance with unique posture, powerful footwork, graceful arms and beautiful expression that will take their artistic experience and communication to a whole new level.
  • In-school Flamenco Informance (K-8)
    In-School Performance;  Online & Streaming
Immerse your students in a historical, bi-lingual and interactive ‘informance’ that demonstrates, through dance performance, visuals and explanation, how the cultures of five continents were woven together to create the unique, intricate and colorful art of Flamenco, a UNESCO World Heritage art!  Travel with us, from its origins deep in Asia, through the Middle East, Africa, Europe and even to the shores of the Americas, as your students learn about the heart beat of flamenco–and the people who gave birth to its percussive footwork, majestic posture, and expressive arms. Your students will observe dances performed by members of our troupe, all while participating in the historical narrative of where Flamenco comes from.  They will be engaged in answering questions to lead our discussion and reflect on what they are experiencing and make comparisons.  Students will watch their teachers learn to play castanets and then lead them in a composition with the notes they have learned.  Students will interact with new vocabulary and show what they know through a series of simple and fun games, culminating with an interactive dance experience, getting everyone on their feet and smiling!
